ILCA Scholarship

The Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA) through the Illinois Landscape Charitable and Educational Organization (ILCECO) plans to award $30,000 in scholarships this year. 

These scholarships are for any Illinois resident pursuing a green industry-related degree and career path. In 2022, the following scholarships will be awarded:

  • One (1) $10,000 scholarship 

  • Two (2) $5,000 scholarships

  • Four (4) $2,500 scholarships

Life in Bloom Summer 2022 Internship

This summer internship is a great experience for any students interested in pursuing a career in either the events industry or a floral design or landscape industry. Horticulture students are highly encouraged to apply. Today, Life In Bloom designs and produces some of the Country’s most exquisite weddings and events.

Allerton Park and Retreat Center is an estate built by Robert Allerton which he donated to the University of Illinois in 1946. The park encompasses 15 formal gardens and 1500 acres of forest and prairies.

Main job duties include general landscape maintenance including but not limited to: weeding, mulching, watering, planting, raking, digging, pruning, trimming, edging, string trimming and other duties as assigned. Some road work and other project based work as assigned.
